This is our first topic: Celebrities!
Do you know
what a celebrity is? Yes, that’s right! A celebrity is a famous or well-known
person. For example: Messy as a famous football player, Shakira as a singer, Brat
Pitt as an actor…
It’s
possible that you are thinking about one celebrity who is special for you by
some reason. Maybe it is because you like how this person plays a sport, sings
or... just because you like his/her appearance.
And what
things you can tell about this person? Which personal information do you know
about him/her?
I invite you to write about this person, this celebrity.
These questions can help you to write:
- His/her name.
- Why this person is a celebrity. Why is he/she famous for? Profession?
- His/her age.
- Nationality.
- Where does this person live?
- Interesting aspects of his/her life?
Include a photo of your celebrity. And remember!... You should give me your wrtiting before 12th December.
Steps to do the activiy with an example.
1 - Think about one celebrity: Pharrel Williams. (You can not use this celebrity for your writing)
2 - Search information of your celebrity:
- His/her name. Pharrell Williams
- Why this person is a celebrity. Why is he/she famous for? Profession? Famous singer. Music producer and songwriter too. Happy is one of his famous songs.
- His/her age. 41 (5th April 1973)
- Nationality. American (Virginia - The USA)
- Where does this person live? The USA
- Interesting aspects of his/her life? Married and a son (Rocket); Plays the keyboards, the guitar and the drums.
2 - Organise your ideas, any aspect can be linked with another? Yes/No?
Yes -- Plays the different instrument can be linked with his profession.
The age with the place of birth and the nationality.
3 - Go point and point writing a sentence. Do not forget to include a subject and the verb!
This is Pharrell Williams.
He is a famous singer. He is also a music producer and songwriter. Happy is one of his most famous song. He sings but he can play the keyboards, the guitar and the drums too.
He is 41 years old. He was born on 5th April in Virginia, The USA. So, he is American.
He is married and he has got a son called Rocket.
4 - Check your writing.... Aspects to consider.
- In every sentence is there a subject and a verb.?
- The correct verb tnese and verb? In simple present, the verb goes with -s or -es for he/she/it.
- Capiral letter the first letter of each sentence?
- Every sentence finish with a dot?
- Check the spelling of the words!
5 - Now, inlcude a photo in your writing and send me your work! And that's all!
